Two Seasons

After a very long day on the trains, I am home. I started on a sunny winter’s day, and arrived in spring, and in darkness after a 10-hour journey. 

The extra hour happened courtesy of Deutsche Bahn, the German railway company, which diverted the express train to Frankfurt due to some technical problems, so I missed my connection.

In the blip you see the snowy station in Pontresina where I started out, and a blossoming magnolia next to the station in Freiburg in the upper Rhine valley.

The cats are quite excited to see me again. Thankfully, P has cooked for us, and I can relax now.
