Honeysuckle

Despite today's constant drizzle I thought these flowers might still elevate the mood. This vine must be getting established having over wintered and now flowering. The Wisteria and the Tulip tree are both still with us as is the clematis which is half way up the spruce although is so far only tentatively flowering.

Unlike yesterday's hypericum this one doesn't seem interesting enough to have been analysed for its chemical content, although the Japanese variety has been and is quite toxic.

I took a few shots of the single species rose bloom but it had a very water logged air about it. We don't have proper ornamental ones. Various weeds are flowering nicely but also cast rather damp aspersions.

I'm taking stock of a new 300 pages to keep me busy for a while.
