Twitchers.
A rather uncomplimentary nickname for bird spotters, originating in the 1950's, when it was used to describe the nervous behaviour of Howard Medhurst, a British birdwatcher. Just as well he didn't have any other undesirable conditions or habits.
Apparently these non twitching ornithologists were after a marsh harrier said to be in the area. Very rare in these parts, so I hope they caught a sight of it.
Many thanks to BobsBlips for hosting the people themed WideWednesday.
