Random read

Recently I read “The Diary of a Bookseller” by Shaun Bythell. Shaun owns and runs The Bookshop in Wigtown. It was a fun and witty read, as he tells about the day to day life in the shop and his customers. In it he mentions his ‘Random Book Club”. For an annual subscription you receive a random new or second hand book every month. My daughter and I decided this would be a fun thing to do and we also bought a subscription for my husband’s birthday. We received our first books in February. The plan is we must read at least 20% of whatever book we are sent ( or a certain number of pages depending on how thick it is) then we discuss our various reads over lunch or dinner.
I’d better get started on this one!
