Pieris japonica "Katsura"

Back to our routine of two garden centre visits a month.  Today it was Dobies at Orton Grange.   As we get further into Spring the garden centres are getting more colourful so blip opportunities are getting greater.

Sometimes called Japanese Pieris or Lily of the Valley shrub.  The flowers certainly caught my eye as I have never seen such large flowers on a Pieris.  This variety also has the bright red new foliage that are a common feature of Pieris.  The plant is also very good for pollinators
