Last blip on my exit
I was moved last night to a small recovery facility awaiting a space in the next ward. After a sporadic night’s sleep and some breakfast I walked to a shower and back before being given the news that home maybe my next port of call!!
I reached for my phone to inform my cousin of the sudden change in plans.
I also informed my friend Sally who was bringing me some clothes to wear in hospital over the next few days that I might be heading home but I didn’t have a specific time for that.
Lunch of meatballs, pasta and a tasty sauce was devoured and Sally arrived with clothes, spiritual and verbal support.
Several hours later some discharge papers arrived and I was told that an ambulance would be arriving within 4 hours to take me home. I would be visited within 4 hours of home arrival by a team to advise and help with any fittings or equipment I might need to help with the transition from hospital to home.
A bumpy ride home and back by 18:20.
Aunties enabler made me a cuppa soup and some crackers before leaving for home, I awaited said care advice team.
Fell asleep ish in aunties electric recliner.
By 10:00 pm no visit so called several numbers to enquire about them.
No one knew anything.
Zzzzzzz
