Newhailes

Back again at this national trust property and its grounds as it is on our doorstep and is an interesting walk through woods and fields .On the way there we passed the community orchard where apple and plum trees are thriving but sadly the beehives have been vandalised so no bees. We spotted a dipper enjoying the Brunstane Burn and a bullfinch too. The fields around Newhailes are a conservation area for the breeding of skylarks and meadow pipits and the profusion of wild flowers is a joy to see.
