Busy day, mostly midwifery related . Meeting in Portumna and then I helped a colleague out and did a first day postnatal visit for her in Moate. Little boy 24 hrs old , home birth water birth and both mum and baby flying it. Her last baby died very young and this birth was very challenging for her but she knew what she wanted and why. It is always a privilege to hear a woman’s birth story and one of my favourite parts of the job. Helped her sort out a few issues , one top and one bottom , as you do in my job :0)
