Away to East Grinstead to meet up with colleagues (ex and current) for a social. Regular readers will remember that I took over from Sue, but we still have the "Sue Tea Parties". We had a couple and then covid intervened, this was the first one for a few years. It was lovely to catch up with people, some of us have worked together for 25 years but almost entirely online - it's nice to be in the same space for a natter. We'd booked a table, there were ten of us, and in typical OU fashion, we moved seats to make sure that everyone had a chance to talk to everyone else.
I grabbed this on the way back to my car - it's the post office in East Grinstead. Grade II listed and charming in the spring sun. The reason for listing is given as "The building has special architectural interest for its lively, well-detailed, intact exterior, and is a good example of a late-C19 post office and commercial architecture." The full listing is worth a look.
