Diary of an Edinburgher

Birthday Boy!

It's Archie's birthday today - he's 10. And las t night was peaceful - he slept right through, with just a wee scrabble and run around about 5am

Last night we were searching for a doggie onesie to cover up his wound and to look like it was meant for him, unlike the child's football shirt. I love ordering things online and they arrive next day. But not possible with doggy things - arrival next week. Well, he won't need it by then, and certainly wouldn't want to wear it by choice. So the football shirt it is then, for another week. He doesn't mind.

Elizabeth came round to see him and bring him some presents. He was fairly subdued, unusually, but was pleased with his pressies, especially the roast beef. She took him out for a walk round the Links, so that he could have a good sniff around the daffs. (Extra)

JR then went into town to have a new pair of palazzo trousers taken up professionally. Archie and I dandered up to the graveyard. I was very slow, because that sore toe I had fixed a couple of weeks ago, isn't quite fixed, and I really should go an see the lovely podiatrist again...

Happy birthday Archie. Not much of a day, but infinitely better than yesterday.

Damn! Looking back over the birthdays, I’ve forgotten to get out the birthday hat!!!
