Once upon a lime...
Tesco delivery this morning all present and correct, although we do have a packet of sesame bagels that have to be eaten by tomorrow! Four out of the six have gone in the freezer.
D took Lola for her long walk while I investigated a possible patch of damp in our bedroom. Think it might be at the ceiling join above the window but need to move furniture to investigate fully, so that's a job for David the weekend.
After lunch I went to the studio and I did paint, but not Agnes's painting as the new frame hasn't arrived yet. I was in the frustrating position of being in the mood to paint, but not being able to decide what to paint!
I finally settled on a crocus, well one of my photographs of a crocus, and hoped to paint it loose and free with lots of lost edges and wet on wet paint. Of course the control freak in me meant that didn't happen, and it is turning into a tighter, more detailed painting. Oh well. It actually dawned on me earlier this evening that in order to paint it in the loose style I so admire in other painters, I have to get the detailed painting out the way first. I think it helps me understand the details and structure of the subject so that next time I paint it, I can be relaxed and confident in my looseness :-))
It's not finished as I had to stop to join a zoom call with D, Alan's OT Heather, and Team Leader Jordan, with a specialist bed company who were demonstrating a new bed we are interested in getting for Alan.
The demo went really well and we think the bed is perfect for him. The OT will get the full quote from the company along with delivery and set up details, then we can make a final decision, but I think it will be a yes from us :-)
Delia's chicken with lime and coconut for dinner and the limes gave me my blip. The recipe calls for one lime and 150ml coconut milk but I always use two limes and a whole tin of coconut milk. coz that's the kind of rebel I am! hahahahahaha! For the eagle eyed among you, the third lime was sliced further to be put in a jug of iced drinking water.
Now back to crocheting the wedding blanket.
