President's day

The ladies filled the ice rink again this afternoon, this time for the President's trophy. It was a shared occasion this year after Covid closures caused the cancellation of a previous event. Past presidents Jesme and Lillias planned a day of curling, food and games and great fun was had by all. Really pleasing for me was that 2 new ladies from my coaching group took part and one of them was in the winning team. She had never played in a game before and was really nervous but the ladies put her at ease and she had a terrific day. Both of them did, which is what it's all about.
