One chance

A normal morning but I finished about 1pm. Then it was all systems go to get ready for when SueT123 arrived. We set off across the Pennines, but were a little disappointed as the weather deteriorated. We arrived at St Aidan's Nature Reserve but it was dark, wet and cold so we had a drink in the cafe. We were just going to have a quick look outside but we spotted this kestrel and walked down the hill to get a bit nearer. I was just starting to focus when it flew off and I only managed this one shot. Not sharp but better than nothing for a blip. 

We went to Mum's and had a lovely meal out this evening. She is a convenient B&B for our trip tomorrow ... and, of course, it was lovely to see her!
