Mama Duck

A mama duck had a nest right by our front door and we were enjoying watching her as we came and went. Sadly, this morning when we got up, we saw three eggs out of the nest cracked. The mama seemed confused as she was still sitting on an empty nest. By this evening she and her mate had disappeared. I felt sad about it all day.
