Log Jam

We have taken our motorhome (Ruby) to Knaresborough for a couple of nights, to meet up with BrambleBlossom's sister (Dette) and her campervan.

Unfortunately Dette had a crash on her way here and won't be joining us. She banged her head, but seems okay, but has possibly wrecked her van. We'll know more later.

The photo is of a bridge over the River Nidd, and I was shocked by how much debris was stuck against the bridge supports. This is from downstream showing it poking under the bridge, as well as a tree growing in mid stream.  The extra shows the extent of the log jam on the upstream side.

It feels like the bridge is vulnerable to a big storm with all those logs/trees blocking the middle section. Wanted boat and chainsaw operator!
