That is the date given by Coralie Mills, a dendrochronologist who visited Mull a little while back.  It's very difficult to do justice, photography wise, to this impressive holly tree.  What it will have 'witnessed' over the centuries.  Chose my main to reflect the age related scars that this tree has incurred.  The extras show a bit more of the tree.
