Happy International Women's Day fellow-blippers!

It was great to have a leisurely start to the day. Earlier in the week, Farzan shared about events taking place at the Women's Pavilion at Expo City. G booked us in. Thankfully, the sessions which applied to us started at 10:45. We made it there in time and enjoyed listening to Women Entrepreneurs in the F&B industry and the Importance of Investing in Women. Sadly, we missed a performance by the Firdaus Orchestra.

We walked through the Women's Pavilion again before heading to Ecco for lunch and then the Al Wasl Dome for coffee and cake. It was getting very warm at this stage. The mercury rose to the low 30s, with the UAE bracing itself for severe weather. In fact, by 6 PM, the government issued a notice to all public beaches, parks and markets to close.

It was good to get home and have a nap and a chilled evening.
