First Out Of The Box

My first box bug of the season. It was in exactly the same place as I used to see one throughout last September when I was photographing bugs on ivy. These used to be very rare and were only seen on box trees at Box Hill in Surrey.

I got an interesting image of a large bumblebee which was covered in mites. I've read in the past that they're harmless and live on rubbish in bee nests. They hitch a ride on the bee to her new nest. I didn't blip it as I've featured bees twice this week.
