Slug Road, Hydro Pole

June 2013 draws gradually to a close with a day of what we would once - in our days 'down south' - have called 'April weather' - spells of bright sunshine alternating with heavy showers.

This shot was taken on my return journey along the Slug Road back from Stonehaven this afternoon: sun shines on a roadside utility pole against the background of a cloudy grey sky.

(Vertical spacers have been fitted to a number of poles close to roads around here over the past 4-5 years, to give the wires a bit of extra height as they cross the highway.)
