A SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR DOUGAL AND HIS MASTER, SIMON
Hello Lovely Blippers,
There was a calamity here last night when Mrs. HCB’s electric throw, which had been off colour for a while, gave up the ghost and died! You would have thought it was the end of the world - and of course, for someone who relies on this to warm up her legs and feet, it almost was!
However, after looking on the internet, we were very excited this morning when we heard the HCBs saying that they would be going to Lakeland and we asked if we could come and bring our swimming cossies because we love wild lake swimming!
Imagine our surprise when, after a 20 minute journey in the car, we arrived at a garden centre with no lake in sight. What a disappointment - we were all very sad and especially to be left in the car while the HCBs went into the shop called Lakeland. We were glad we didn’t have to wait too long before Mr. HCB came back to the car with a large box in his hands, which he shoved into the boot and then, joy of joys, took us out, because Mrs. HCB wanted to take our photograph next to all these rabbits, Dutch rabbits, a fox cub, chicks, birds, a tortoise, various dogs and several cats and you can even see a big brown bear!
However, you need to know that these are NOT real, not like we are anyway and they are just bought by people to stand in their gardens - how boring is that - and we are sure that dear Admirer would have found it quite silly. WE ARE real and as you know, we help Mrs. HCB every week with a Blip for Silly Saturday. You probably realise, though, that Mr. HCB had walked off and left Mrs. HCB to it - he is a wise man!
So today, this is a “SHOUT OUT” to a cat friend of ours, Dougal, who lives with his master, a dear Blip friend, in deepest Devon. Of course, these cats are made of very hard stuff and can’t speak either, not like we can, so we are also sending a “SHOUT OUT” to Dougal’s master, Simon, to say “GET WELL SOON”!
I’m sure we don’t need to remind you, but we will:
REMEMBER TO BE KIND - because you never know what someone is going through - and if you are kind, you may just be the rainbow in their cloud!
Love to you all from The Silly Saturday Gang xxx
P.S. On 6th December, Mrs. HCB showed you all the wonderful multi-coloured organ pipes at St. Andrew’s Church, Shrivenham. A few weeks ago, Lucy, the lady who helped her so much, emailed and asked if they could use the photograph on a flyer for an Organ Concert, taking place this evening. Of course, Mrs. HCB agreed - what an honour - so she and Mr. HCB are going over there to listen - and to help raise money for the Restoration Fund for the Church. You see, kindness comes in many forms!
