There was...
a tree here once, before it was cut down. This is Sycamore Gap (still called that) taken as a Back Blip. After dropping Adam at work I had time to have a look along Hadrian's Wall and in particular Sycamore Gap. This was taken about 8.30am and if you look closely there are three walkers going to have a look. As forecast from Greenhead to the North East, cloud was the order of the day, ('Is there no sun in this country' as said by Morgan Freeman in RH Prince of Thieves, but still sunny in Cumbria when I returned. Weak sun today at home accompanied by a chilly east wind and not been anywhere. Tomorrow is Mother's Day and there will be someone who will do his usual in remembrance of her.
