Rugby and new pills

Yet another sleepless night for everyone, I'm afraid. I haven't been reporting all his frantic nocturnal activities, but they've been relentless these past few weeks. We think they coincide with his lumps appearing and annoying the hell out of him. And reading up about all his behaviours, at night time, which can be triggered by a trauma, it could be epilepsy. This has been suggested a few years ago, and he had epilepsy pills, but nothing as bad as this...

I rang the vet to ask for some pills to knock him out help him sleep, and he and I took the bus to the pick them up this morning. So we'll have a follow up visit about his operation on Wednesday and we'll discuss his symptoms further.

Elizabeth took Archie out, so he hasn't caught up with his sleep at all today. Not sure if tiring him out will work. JR went off to the supermarket, and I settled down to watch two games of rugby. And both were corkers! The Scotland/Italy match was very close, and I was actually quite pleased that Italy beat Scotland this time - they deserved it, their first win at home in Rome for eleven years. The England/Ireland game was also great. England deserved a bit of good news, with a last minute drop goal. It makes the Six Nations Competition more exciting if there's not a really dominant team (which there has been...)

So, we'll try the new pills tonight, though I don't hold out much hope... the cone drives him bonkers, but his tee shirt just gets soaked from his constant licking. Poor wee Archie, his tenth eleventh year on this earth hasn’t got off to a good start…
