Sunny Saturday

Woke to a pleasant day.  Got a washing load washed and dried outside!

Took hound for his two walks.

Did some cutting back in the garden. 

This afternoon it was warm enough to sit out in the garden.  However a couple of gardens away someone was using a screaming machine so I took the dog for a walk instead.  Why, when it's a beautiful day particularly on a weekend does a neighbour spoil the peace and tranquility with either constant noise or bonfires.  

Just had a stupid labour councillor respond to my comment that only labour have built on a recreation ground in a densely populated area increasing the population and reducing much needed green space.  His response was the space taken had been replaced elsewhere.  Utter nonsense these councillors spout.

Finished reading Jonathan Coe's Bournville yesterday.  Very good indeed.  Now reading short stories, The Pier Falls by Mark Haddon also good but completely different.
