Castle Crag, Shoulthwaite

I went up Raven Crag and was surprised at how busy it was. Years ago I would never have seen anyone up here. Once I’d struck off towards the Iron Age hill fort I didn’t see a soul and had a much more extensive exploration of the ramparts than I have before (in the foreground). Amazingly impressive. I wonder what it must have been like in its day … such a remarkable spot.
Afterwards I went along the back road to see what more shenanigans United Utilities are up to and to top up my ‘fuming’ level.
