Mothering Sunday

Heavenly Father,

Believing in your promises to us, I turn to you trusting that my mother is with you in your loving arms. You alone know how she faithfully endured the struggles that she faced. You know the graces you gave her, and you know the grace she was for me and for so many. For all the ways she truly loved in the way that you loved her, please bless her, Lord. May she enjoy the communion of all her family and friends who are also now with you.

Father, I know my mother still loves all of us who remain here on earth. I ask that you might listen to her prayers for us, and ours for her. Help me to grow a new and even deeper relationship with my mother now, as I long for the day when we are joyfully reunited in your embrace, knowing and understanding all that we did not know or understand on this earth.
