Basking in the sunshine

Lovely to see the sunshine ..... for once a bonus of living near the East coast! Still got that frigid wind though!

We wrapped up & headed out for our wander "up the road" this afternoon.

Spotted these Ladybirds basking on the Holly .... there were lots of them scattered about the leaves :-)

Then we saw Mr Kestrel ..... I managed to get reasonably close which was good!

We climbed onto the river bank ..... the water was so low that the silt was visible ..... across the other side of the water we saw several Redshank happily feeding ..... a little too far away for a photo unfortunately.

I did manage to get photos of these two Cormorants .... interesting to see one has white feathers on its head :-)

It was a lovely walk just a shame the wind was to cold & blustery
