Travelling

Breakfast, tidying up, dishwasher on, then checking the weather forecast for Hokitika on the West Coast and deciding what clothes we actually needed to take with us.  Decisions made the packing was done, the dishwasher emptied, and our bags taken out to the car.  It was a beautiful sunny day in Oamaru and the sunshine stayed with us all the way to Christchurch.  We found our motel, left our bags in the motel, our car key at reception in case they need to move it during the week, then set off to find the pick up point for tomorrow morning - just a ten-minute walk away.  

We met our friend, D, and walked to Francesca’s Italian Kitchen where we had the most delicious meal and caught up on all the news before walking back to D’s place for a cup of tea, then back to the motel.

We checked the weather forecast again and decided what clothes we’d wear in the morning (wet weather gear), got them out ready, and then it was time for bed.
