Mothering Sunday Farewell

Our daughter and grandson visited today. It is the last time we will see him before he moves to Dubai on the 20th. I made and iced a carrot cake to celebrate his new life running his online fitness coaching business in the UAE. (Extras)

My daughter bought me a lovely bottle of Pol Roger champagne in a box decorated beautifully with fish, water plants and insects. The design, by Tess Costil, won the Winston Churchill Design Competition in 2019. It is based on keen painter Churchill's The Goldfish Pool at Chartwell. Pol Roger was Churchill's champagne of choice. I'm saving it so we can sip it outside in the sunshine.
