Porta Patet, Cor Magis

…is the motto of Amelungsborn abbey (founded in the 12th century), one of the rare Protestant communities. 

Translated from the Latin to “The door is open, the heart even more.”

We visited the graveyard where my parents are buried (2018 / 2022). This is a view from the side door of the church towards the tenant’s mansion. A rather remote place in the hills of south Lower Saxony, Germany.
