Chess day full of frustration

Of all the places where E plays chess, today's place is by far the most difficult for me. I don't like driving our wheelchair bus in this city, because of the crowds and the narrow streets with very poor road surfaces. Parking is also a difficult issue near the playing location. The only disabled parking space is located on a very busy road, where you do not park your car next to the parking space to let E out first. But if I park IN the parking space, the wheelchair lift cannot be used because of the post behind the space. Today the car couldn't be there at all: the space was occupied. It took me 45 minutes to find another parking place.

The club and the opposing team are also not something to be happy about. The welcome has never been warm, and the request to place a chessboard downstairs for E and a teammate has never been responded to without any fuss. It's always too much trouble and today was no exception. We had called in advance and agreed that the entire team would play downstairs, everything was confirmed by email. Upon arrival, nothing has been arranged and there is still a lot of whining and hassle. But: the Christmas decorations were no longer stored in the disabled toilet, like last time! (I placed all Christmas stuff on the bar last time we were there, because no one was willing to help to make some space so the wheelchair can go into the disabled toilet)

Unfortunately our team lost, but E won his game.
