Cube(s)

My main photo is of two cubes joined by hinges. The piece is lacquerware with inlaid mother-of-pearl. It is a gift from a Chinese delegation to whom I made a presentation when I worked for a living. A rare perk of the job. 

I shone my lighting on the top of it to show the luminescence of the mother-of-pearl. The parts with butterflies are drawers, four in total, that open by pushing through holes at the back. The extra is a colour version.
