The hunger games …

… but for real.

By any objective measure a world where a billion people are now believed to be obese, and yet close to a billion are malnourished is not getting it right. Add into the mix that 3 million children die from hunger every year …

Populist politicians convince people that immigration is the big issue. It’s not. People don’t leave home lightly. War and famine drive them to it. If we fed the world and gave people security they would be happy, for the most part, to stay with their families.

We then went to see Women in Revolt at Tate Britain. Really hard hitting exhibition this one. Some amazing art and artefacts from the 70s and 80s when women were discovering their voice and making a call to arms on everything from nuclear weapons and equal pay to domestic violence and reproductive rights.
