Red legged partridge

I’ve seen Red legged partridge in the field before but not in the garden so I was delighted when this one popped up on the fence. Such beautiful plumage.
I spotted three male pheasants earlier, running down the hill with the partridge. I sat outside and hoped they would come closer. It was cold but bright. They kept coming down and then running back up the hill. I saw them fly up into a tree which always looks strange to me.
We started watching Killers of the Flower Moon. It’s nearly three and a half hours long we we decided to watch it over three nights :)
