Eyesore or Special Attraction?

Travel is so broadening! Here we have Bubblegum Alley in downtown San Luis Obispo. Wads of colorful chewed gum, some over forty years old, line both sides of this seventy foot space in this lively college town. If you look closely you can see all sorts of hidden things--gum wrappers and bottle caps, business cards, fraternity symbols, and secret messages. Quaint tourist stop or disgusting public health menace? -- You decide. And, no, I didn't see a tshirt or a commemorative tea towel for sale.
