ma floors!
Aren't these lovely, they came from Colin yesterday. I think he and his sister will have found it difficult, their first Mother's Day without their mum. It's been so long since my own mum died, 44 years, that I've sort of got used to it. I do revel in watching our girls be such lovely mum's in their turn though.
Today I picked the girls up from school and took them (both) to Isobel's piano lesson. She is learning Suzuki where part of the ethos is having an audience. We arrive slightly early at the teachers home and go in without making a noise. We then sit through the end of the previous pupil's lesson . There is then an immediate, smooth, transition, and bow, into Isobel's lesson. Each child is applauded by those present including the teacher, at the end of their lesson. It gets the children used to having an audience and also encourages them to see what others can do.
Katy arrived towards the end of Isobel's lesson, then when she had finished I handed girls and equipment over to her and went straight off to bridge.
We seem to be in a winning streak just now as we won again tonight. Only one more club night left this season, then our dinner the following week and that will be us finished until October.
Eilidh was very happy too today, she qualified as one of the 5 fastest times for her school in an inter school Cross Country event this afternoon. That means she's qualified for a next level event in two weeks. She says she came 31st out of 84 overall.
