Time Together

That's my daughter M enjoying the late afternoon sun next to the Fairhaven Village Green mural. She came up from Seattle this afternoon for the annual "Girls Night Out" in the historic Fairhaven area of Bellingham, which we enjoyed together last year as well, and to have some time with us on Saturday.

I love the saying on her T-shirt: Don't look back, you're not going that way.

Now is all you have, an Icelandic blipper I follow, expands on that thought in the "About" section of her journal: This moment, this time, this place -- it's what you have. No more and no less. You're not guaranteed the future, and the past is behind you.

I need to print both of those thoughts on a big piece of paper and look at them several times every day!
