End Of The Run

Yeovil suffered their first home defeat of the season this afternoon losing 1-0 to Welling who, like most teams this season, came to defend deep, waste as much time as possible and hope for a lucky break, which they duly got when one of our players underhit a back pass and let their best player clean through on goal to take his chance well.

We were uncharacteristically lethargic for much of the game and, after the first 15 minutes, never really threatened to score. The photo shows one of our early chances.

A bit disappointing but, if you’d told fans at the beginning of the season that we wouldn’t be beaten at home until early March, they wouldn’t have believed you.

This morning, we were back at Park Run again after two weeks of cancellations.
