Dunters at dusk

Dunters - The local name for Eider Ducks. Waiting for neighbours to come round this evening, I saw this little group of dunters settling down on the end of the slip.

A day of wind and rain, sail sewing for Mike, sock knitting for me, sleeping for Ollie! By late afternoon the skies cleared, the sun made a shy appearance and Ollie and I were able to get a bit of a walk. We both got soaked by the long grass but it was good to get out.

Lovely relaxed evening with friends later, and managed to force some lemon meringue pie onto them!
