St Nicolas Kirk

Part of one of Aberdeen’s most impressive buildings changes hands this month when an Edinburgh arts charity takes over the western half of this building, the area to the left in this picture.

The area in the centre at the base of the tower contains the oil industry chapel. The area to the right of the tower was an archaeological site the last time I was inside a few years ago.

The church has been closed since 2020.

That day was a little brighter and dryer and we have had a recently. Something of a relief, although it is still quite cold. It still does not feel like spring.
