Take a seat!

Isn't it funny how you pass objects every day and don't really think very much about them.   This is one such example!  I often take shots of things or places merely as a test shot, sometimes I go back to them and retake from a different perspective, or in different lighting.  Often nothing comes from these experiments and the image is forgotten.  This is a bench seat at the village war memorial and it was put in place on the centenary of the Battle of the Somme.  This battle resonates with people in Ireland and especially in Ulster.  As a younger man I recall speaking to veterans who fought in the battle, they are now all long gone.  Lest we forget!
