Whooper Swan

Still about ten whoopers on the Peedie Sea. Their call carries some distance so you know they are there even when a good bit off. They get so mucky rooting about the pond floor. I noticed the tufted ducks were in close attention looking for food stirred up by the larger birds. I saw eight brown hares in fields at the town edge but they were quite far and just sitting about rather than getting up to 'Mad March Hare antics.
