House is feeling a lot better now the insulation is going in. This was taken this morning so it's all done now. Tomorrow the plaster board will be started ready for plastering next week.

Mike's bday today but I had to work this morning. Rushed round so I could take him out for lunch. He spent the day building a duck house as it was too wet to do the workshop roof, which is what he'd planned to do on his day off. He made it out of scraps of wood we had lying round so hasn't cost us a penny. He is clever. 

I will attempt to catch the ducks when I go over to see mum tomorrow. They need to come ASAP as not sure how often anyone is going to feed them :0( We're not quite ready for them but will temporarily house them in half of the chickens run then sort out their area at the weekend. 

While we were in town for lunch we went to a flooring shop. Lady was really helpful and we came home with three decent sized lvt samples one of which we really liked, and also made an appointment for someone to come and measure up and quote. However we've done a trust pilot search on the brand of LVT tonight and it has very very bad reviews so we're obviously going to steer clear and probably stick with the porcelain tiles. It's such a big decision and such a lot of money. I'm really struggling with it. How do you choose something and know you're going to still like it in 5/10 years time?! And you get the tiniest sample for such a big space you can't really tell what it's going to look like.
