Valerian on the reservoir.

This reservoir used to serve the whole of Newcastle with water. It's now derelict but the wildflowers are having a party up the sides of it. It is rather beautiful.

And it is midway between me and Mam. I was going for a walk early this morning but it didn't happen, but out for my daily visit to mothership to do a bit shopping, hoovering and debate.

There follows a day of domesticity and fern wrangling.

Has anyone else got ferns growing like triffids in their garden or is it just me?
