Charmouth beach
Did a walk from Charmouth to Lyme Regis via the coastal path and then returned via the beach. Some fossil hunting on the way back and admiration of the huge ammonites visible on some of the 'pavement' rocks. There are some serious collectors on the beach all the time. We saw one lady get stuck in the mud being washed down from the cliffs. Good job there were plenty of others around to try and dig her out.
Called in at the heritage centre on the way back to the car. Really nice little museum with lots about the fossils that you can find on the beach.
The light was very pretty on the wet sand as we were leaving.
My camera is very very unhappy and is also having trouble focusing now as well as making a nasty noise as the lens retracts. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to use it.
