Fountainbridge Library

Today's 'chores' included collecting my reserved book from our brilliant local Fountainbridge library.

Fountainbridge Library opened in 1940.  This exterior decorative panel was designed by the sculptor Charles d’Orville Pilkington Jackson. He's responsible for one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks, the statue of Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn.
