But when the tide comes right in, a few times a year, we get a Flood Warning Notification that the sea is likely to come right up and over the usual defences.

Extras:
-  Over the sea wall and shore path
-  Over the swimmers slipway - and maybe into the new trench.
-  Some work was being done at the double-houses pier this afternoon, we couldn't guess what it was.  It involved a half dozen folk in high-viz including a couple of divers.

(Even the campsite under the washing line was flooded, but luckily the shreddies were high and dry in the morning sunshine.)
