The Season for Magnolia

Magnolias have bloomed in profusion. Even just as they've opened they show signs of the brown 'staining' that spoils them for me. I had resolved to take Cecily out this morning to photograph the tree on Leicester Road just round the corner. This flower had such a luminous glow.
