An afternoon visitor
In Argyll you see deer regularly in the evening or the early morning, usually crossing roads , in groups on hillsides or down by lochs and streams.
We also sometimes see them in our garden at home at dusk but this little one was grazing at three o'clock this afternoon not more than fifty yards from the house. In addition there was quite a lot of noise coming from the forest harvesting which is taking place up the hill.
Admittedly it was always alert but it still gave me the chance to take several pictures before it dashed away.
