L'île de la Harpe

I travelled further along the lake to visit a friend who lives in Rolle. The lakeside there is beautiful with no interference from traffic. We did a lovely walk all along the lake for about an hour. The suface of the water was so smooth!

The first extra is the view across the lake  looking towards the mountains, standing under the branches of weeping willow which are just coming into leaf.

The second extra is the Rolle Castle which dates back to the 13th century.
