Hospital visit
This afternoon Callum had a visit to East Cleveland Hospital in Brotton, just ten minutes along the road from us.
It was only for X-rays pending an assessment with the muscular skeletal specialist regarding his knees. But as neither of us had been there before I sniffed out a blip and said I’d go with him to keep him company.
East Cleveland Hospital Art Project, a series of features when the place was built nearly 30 years ago, where ‘art connects us with the world and the people around us, especially important in a hospital, where an appropriate work of art can create a healing harmonious atmosphere’
Not so sure many people would actually be bothered to look around them to be honest, but as a blipper you do appreciate these things :-)
This intricately carved brick panel was done by Julia Barton and depicts the expansive ploughed fields and gently rolling landscape.
